Apoloniusz Tajner is a retired Polish ski jumper who was born on June 21, 1974, in Nowy Targ, Poland. He is considered to be one of the greatest ski jumpers in Polish history. Tajner competed in ski jumping for the Polish national team from 1993 to 2003, winning a gold medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. He also won a gold medal in the team event at the 2001 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti, Finland. After retiring from competition, he worked as a coach for the Polish national ski jumping team, helping them win multiple medals at the Olympics and World Championships. Tajner is widely respected for his knowledge, passion, and dedication to the sport of ski jumping.
